Why finding happiness is the most important thing you'll ever do

Why are we sad? Why is it that most the people we meet in our lifetime are this? How do we let ourselves go so far the rabbit hole that we can't tell our head from our ass? This little thing called life has little meaning if we don't put thought into it, and even less if we put upsetting thoughts into it. Sad and unhappy people live sad and unhappy lives until a sad and unhappy man with a shovel puts the last sad and unhappy clod of dirt on top of their casket. If you have no good feelings for what you do and how you do it, then there is no point in doing it obviously. I'm telling you that you need to find something that makes you happy if you want to progress in life. No matter what happens, find what you want and do it. No lame-ass excuses. Progress in life or leave your life in the dust. Make the choice.

Be excited

Life has so many opportunities and events in which you can take place and enjoy. Look at life like it's a carnival and you have the chance to ride all the rides. There may be mishaps and accidents in life, but the most important thing is to always look at the bright side to keep moving on. Be stuck in your past and previous self, or move to the next exciting level. This one should be easy. Make the choice.

Love Yourself

I know many of my blogs deal with stress and combating "problems". This time around, I want you all to think of something that makes you proud that you are "you". Give yourself a few minutes.

We are so much more than what we really give credit to. Many of us try to search for someone to tell us that we are beautiful or funny or whatever it be. You need to be proud of yourself, no matter what scenario you happen to be dealing with in life. Give yourself a pat on the back. You're worth it. I have a small little quote that I throw around in my head that means a lot to me. The saying I say is ," Made it, but not sated". What that means, to me of course, is that I do realize I've done good for myself by dropping 40 pounds and gaining serious muscle mass, but I still need to do more. Love who you are, but always strive to be better for yourself and the ones you love. Always stay at the top of your game, if you become complacent, you start to lose your aspiration and "want" in life. You become lazy and your stage lights dim and then fade out entirely. You are the star of show, start acting like it. In this little experience called life we can either be the spectator or the performer. I chose to be the performer. Now it's your turn. Make the choice.

Importance of being "important"

The word tranquility is defined as the state of being calm. What makes you tranquil? What in your life is so great and powerful that it makes you calm despite all odds? These are questions that really make us ponder ourselves and what "importance" is to us. What is importance, and does it make us feel a certain way? On the neighboring hand of the feeling of tranquility, things of "importance" to us should make us feel good or worthy in our lives. In a sense, it is important to for us to find things "important" (if that makes any sense). Many of us live our lives blindly, always looking for cheap and quick ways of feeling important. By continuing our small doses of importance, we throw ourselves into an early grave, never knowing what we truly wanted in life. So, basically you've hit the wall. If you haven't decided yet, if you haven't spent time deciding what you truly love and find important in your life, I challenge you to do so. We only have so much time in this life, it is so, so crucial to find what makes you "you". The most important step ( I know there's a lot of importance here) is to find what you think has value and significance. What are you going to do about it? Where is your life taking you and when are you going to get started? Get up. Make the choice.

It's not their fault

No matter what anyone does to you on the outside, it's still your choice to either forgive or hold a grudge with that person. Your actions are heavily influenced but not controlled by others around you. What you do and how you think in life is entirely up to you and your choices, there isn't any other way to explain that. You are the master of your life, control that or forever be the puppet to others. Make the choice.

Conquering Anger

For those on the road to controlling their lives need to understand how to combat and control anger. I have had and still struggle occasionally with my pacifism. I like to consider myself a pacifist, but sometimes freak over small things. Anger takes over your thoughts and messes with your head. I can't tell you how to live your life, but here are a few things that might help you:

-Calm down, whatever the problem is, it won't be worth it in 24 hours.
-Keep your head cool, it isn't a good trait to be jumpy.
-Stop being angry, you can hurt the ones you love.

These few things might be able to help you and your anger problems. Remain the same or help yourself on the road to self control. Make the choice.

Progress knows no age.

I am only 17 years old (18 in July), but one good thing about success and the continuation of progress is that it knows no age. Losing weight and building muscle is a trait that anyone can have and a feat that anyone can accomplish. The real key to building a healthier life doesn't reside in TV commercials or shitty tasting salads, is lies within our minds. When we truly want something, we go out and nothing can stop us from achieving our goals. What do you want and when do you want it? Why haven't you started yet? Ask yourself these questions, if you can't answer them, then maybe you need to change something. Make a better you or remain the same, it's entirely up to you. Make the choice.

Our time left

We're dying. From the start of our lives, we are given a timer. It's obviously not materialistic but something internal. At the end of this timer, we cease to exist. We never see the timer though, that's up to someone higher than us. I'm a Christian but I'll leave that "someone" for you to decide. Regardless of Religion, the fact is that we will all go at some point. The real question is what are you doing? What are you doing with your life? Is there something, anything you wish you could have done? What if your timer stops tomorrow or in a week or in a month or in a year? What will you do differently? I made my choice. I choose to live the rest of my life knowing that it can end at any time. Once you achieve this mindset, the little things no longer bug you, you no longer stress out over whether your boss is going to like the work you did or not. Just trust in yourself that you have done all you can in the time you had. Continue to live your life with that same expectation and you'll never fail yourself. Live your life to the fullest, taking up every grain of sand in that hourglass of life, or let the timer run out. Make the choice.

Muscles vs. Relationship

All relationships are like muscles. I don't care how long or how short a relationship has been, it can be broken down to simply work like a muscle. When a muscle is used until it is stiff and the lactic acid buildup denies any further use, the muscle deteriorates, but it comes back stronger. Muscles will come back bigger and stronger. How is this related at all to my girlfriend/boyfriend/significant other? If you truly love someone, and you will, and they truly love you, there is nothing that can separate the two from each other. The relationship will be stronger and you'll be happier if you two truly love each other. If the love isn't true and honest, then you two will stop working out indefinitely. Pun Intended. Find someone who truly loves you or never find a true lover. Make the choice.

Success

Is success a materialistic thing? Think about it. Think hard. Today, the common viewpoint is that success and "making it" involves having a Lamborghini, beautiful women, and stacks of Benjamins. It's absurd. Why do we give away our lives obsessing over Caitlyn Jenner (formerly Bruce) and the Kardashians? The Kardashians aren't going to make your successful, Caitlyn Jenner isn't going to make you successful, and obsessing over rappers who rap about flashy cars and busty girls is not going to make you successful. The only tip to being successful is to truly believe in yourself, to listen to your mind AND body. Push yourself but don't force yourself into things that you hate doing. Always bring your compassion with your wherever you go in life, it'll help you more than you'll ever know. Have patience, nothing in the world was built in a day. Success is not just where you arrive to ,whether it be physically, financially, or emotionally, it is the sum of what you do to get there. Success is the blood, sweat, and tears of the journey. Success is not esoteric and can be achieved by any one of you reading this blog. If you haven't by now, I want you to start your life. Sit down and think for a bit. What do you want and how are you going to do it.  Life your life with purpose or live it blindly, never knowing who you truly are. Make the choice.

Mental Motivation

One thing you can get out of your head is the thought that you're going to get out of life alive. We all perish on this beautiful rock called Earth, so why not try to do everything you can? Why do you sit behind your desk stressing over a job that you have that you don't even like? Why surround yourself with the same type of people who hate who they are and what they do? I challenge you, if you are in this type of predicament in life, to break free. Maybe its not a job, maybe its school. Maybe you hate everything about the classes you're taking. I challenge you to break free of your mental restraints and to look at life differently. To stop making yourself sick with things that don't interest you. Stop making yourself live and empty life. Happiness and tranquility cannot be bought, so get it out of your head that you have to be a millionaire to be happy and successful. This is all in your heart and mind, so stop thinking that if the pay is well, that the job is worth it, because it's not. The healthiest and happiest people on the planet are not rich, many of them live on the streets. Like I said, life is a mind and heart game. Be happy or be miserable for the rest of your life. Make the choice.

Our Vulnerable Invinciblity

We as humans have the choice to do and become anything we want to in this world, anything. We are the rulers of our own lives and we have the ability to climb any mountain. We are unstoppable, at least in theory. We all tend to make one simple mistake, stressing and doubting that we are unstoppable. You, just like me, can do anything you set your mind to. Maintain your hunger for excitement and happiness and stop asking "why", and start asking "when". Make the choice.

Fearing and Stressing.

The relationship of fear and stress.
Many times fear can be created by stress or the anlage to stress. One thing people do not know is that fear is not real. It only resides in the belief that something may or may not happen, fear is of the future and can be avoided.  Fear is in our heads and causes us to loose clairvoyance and makes us miss opportunities because we are scared and we stress over things that do not exist yet, or will never exist. Do not stress over the imaginary, it is a waste of energy and a dampener to your life. Live in the moment and do not regret not doing something because of fear.

Combatting Stress

One thing we do a lot in life is stressing over things. The stress we feel is self made and can be combatted in a few easy steps.
1. Breathe- You're okay, as long as you keep breathing you won't pass out.
2. Relax- Everything isn't in your hands, you're not alone.
3. Live- Living a life with stress isn't living a life at all, smile once in a while.
